Geraldton Fishermen’s Co-operative operates tours of our 90-tonne capacity live lobster processing plant located at Geraldton Fishermen’s Wharf. Tour guides give tourists and locals alike a behind-the-scenes insight into this multi-million dollar regional industry. The tour aims to educate people on the Western Rock Lobster industry and why the clear waters of the Indian Ocean are a haven for this seafood delicacy.

The guides talk many participants into holding some of the larger lobsters in their hands, sparking squeals of delight all captured in the flurry of camera lights.

Where: 206 Connell Road, Geraldton (Fishermen’s Wharf)

How much: Adults $10, Seniors $8, Children (under 16) $5

As this is a working factory, we want to keep everyone safe, please observe the following OH&S requirements:

• Head covering must be worn at all times inside the factory (disposable hats are available)
• Sturdy enclosed footwear must be worn, no open toe shoes
• An adult must accompany all school age children
