The role is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and improvement of equipment, machinery, and control systems at our state-of-the-art processing and export facilities.

The focus is to ensure that asset performance, availability, and utilisation is tracked such that a Planned Preventative Maintenance Program can be maintained and executed to achieve optimal operational outcomes.

There is a strategic element to this role requiring the implementation of best practices, identification of continuous improvement opportunities, and development of associated capital budgets and projects.

Your time will be split across a range of functions covering planning, monitoring, reporting, contractor management, and hands-on maintenance tasks.

The role requires the competent delivery of all activities that may directly or indirectly affect safety, quality, and productivity.

Duties include:

• Ensuring the safe completion of all maintenance work.
• Tracking equipment efficiency and performance parameters such that planned maintenance is undertaken when required.
• Maintaining a Planned Preventative Maintenance Program – to include procurement and inventory management of critical spares.
• Reviewing historical data regarding failures and undertaking root cause analysis to ensure cost-effective solutions are identified.
• Acting as the ‘primary point of contact’ for maintenance contractors working in the business.
• Undertaking in-house maintenance activity as required.
• Full P&L and capital expenditure responsibility for Reliability and Maintenance activities.
• Developing, and tracking progress to, annual budgets.
• Helping the business achieve safety, financial, and operational KPIs.

Skills and Experience:

• Experience in working under robust safety management systems.
• Minimum of five years experience in an industrial maintenance environment – including a working knowledge of pneumatics, mechanics, hydraulics, electrical, PLCs, and electronic applications.
• Experience in the application of Total Productive Maintenance methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise third-party service providers and contractors.
• Computer literacy to include word processing and spreadsheet capabilities.
• Ability to work independently under general guidelines and supervision.
• Excellent organising and analysing skills.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective working relationships.
• Preferred but not essential:
  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • WA fully licensed electrician.
